A Collaborative, Strengths-Based and Mindful Approach to Counseling
With over 25 years of experience practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I work with teens and adults struggling with anxiety, depression and grief due to a variety of life experiences. Many of my clients appear to “have it all together,” yet often feel stuck inside, struggling to trust their own thoughts and feelings. As a result, they often find it difficult to make decisions and find joy in their life.
My style is collaborative, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered. I draw from practices informed by both cognitive behavioral and mindfulness-based somatic psychotherapies, allowing for a greater connection between the mind and body. My approach offers a greater focus on slowing down and becoming curious about what’s happening in the present moment. Together, we will work to find new ways to respond to the challenges in your life.
I have offices to meet with you in person in both Ashland and Superior, Wisconsin and am licensed to practice via telehealth in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Ohio.
I am able to accept a variety of insurance plans, but every plan is different. I encourage anyone interested in working with me to reach out directly to their insurance provider regarding their specific mental health benefits.
